Description

Born from a collaboration between Lallemand and the award-winning Verdant Brewing Co. in Cornwall UK, this yeast was purpose-built for the modern hazy beer revolution. If you are chasing that perfect glass of liquid sunshine — hazy, juicy, bursting with tropical fruit — Verdant IPA is your yeast.

Perfect for these beer styles: New England IPA (NEIPA), Hazy IPA, Juicy IPA, Hazy Pale Ale, English IPA, American Pale Ale, Milkshake IPA, Oat Cream IPA, Hazy Double IPA, Oatmeal Stout.

Verdant IPA produces a distinctive and expressive aroma profile dominated by apricot with tropical fruit and citrus undertones. These fruity esters merge seamlessly with modern hop varieties like Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy and Sabro creating an irresistible aromatic complexity. The yeast also promotes hop biotransformation through β-lyase activity, unlocking additional terpene compounds from your hops during fermentation.

Medium flocculation creates a naturally hazy beer without needing to add oats, wheat or other adjuncts — though these certainly complement the style. Fermentation temperature of 18-25°C gives you flexibility: ferment cooler for a cleaner profile or push the temperature slightly to amplify the fruit ester character.

Whether you are brewing a sessionable Hazy Pale or a massive TIPA, Verdant IPA brings the juice. It is one of the most versatile and rewarding yeasts in the LalBrew range for anyone who loves hop-forward beers with character.
